What We Accept
Articles & Essays
Opinion pieces, lore analysis, world-design theory, editorial commentary on Hytale development updates.
Build Showcases
Screenshot-driven features of your builds. Provide hi-res images and a description of your process and inspirations.
Mod Spotlights
Showcase a mod you have made or love. Include screenshots, download links, and a creator interview if possible.
Art & Illustration
Fan art, character designs, concept art, maps. Minimum 2000px wide, PNG or TIFF preferred.
Community Interviews
Pitch an interview with a notable community creator. We will help with questions and formatting.
Lore & Worldbuilding
Deep dives into Hytale lore, zone lore, bestiary entries, or original community world-lore.
Submission Guidelines
English only at this time. We may expand to other languages in future issues.
Articles: 400 to 2500 words. Longer pieces considered case-by-case.
PNG or JPG, minimum 1500px on the shortest side. Include alt text descriptions.
All work must be your own. No plagiarism. AI-generated text or art is not accepted.
You retain ownership. By submitting, you grant us non-exclusive rights to publish in the issue. You may republish elsewhere with credit to the Magazine.
We may lightly edit for clarity and house style. We will share edits with you before publishing.
Issue deadlines are posted in the Discord submissions channel. Late submissions may be held for the next issue.
Be kind. No harassment, no hate speech, nothing NSFW. Violations result in permanent bans from the magazine.
How to Submit
Join our Discord server at discord.gg/hytalemagazine
Head to the submissions channel and read the pinned message for the current issue brief.
Post your submission or a pitch in the channel, or send it directly to an editor via DM.
Wait for a reply. We aim to respond within 7 days. If accepted, we will work with you on any revisions.
